ZOOM, SKYPE, FACETIME !
PR Folks, a little prep goes a long way.  

Think LEVEL, LIGHT, LOOK.
LEVEL. The camera should be at or slightly above your eye line. Prop up your laptop. Stick the camera up on a clip.
LIGHT. The light on your face should be smooth and even. Circle lamps with warm and cool colors. Never a window behind you.

LOOK. Wear makeup. Cameras enhance contrast.  
BONUS: Be sure your background is simple and slightly dim.  Wear a mic.  (Amazon: "USB Clip On Mic")
